Changing a DocMaker page-preview size

The ADAM DocMaker solution enables you to manage high resolution offline content through a low resolution Web2Print interface. To accomplish this the latest version (3.0) of the DocMaker API gives you the possibility to get page previews corresponding to each page in the original Adobe InDesign® document.

Depending on the page dimensions in the original document you may want to change the size of the preview when displaying on your screen. Editing an A3-sized document for example using a preview equal to the original page dimensions would result in a scrolling-job on your web-browser.

Using standard Adam settings and configuration options your page previews dimensions can easily be changed.

Keep document dimensions

Every 'File Type' in ADAM has a 'keep document dimensions' property. Select this option in every available InDesign filetype (Configurator Studio > File Type Management) to keep the original image size of the source document. This option is mostly used for documents containing text where you want the text to be readable in the preview.

Maximum width or height

If the 'keep document dimensions' option is not enabled for the File Type, the size of previews will be limited to values specified in two system settings (Configurator Studio > Setting Management).
  • Maximum height for previews
  • Maximum width for previews
These two settings define the maximum dimensions (in pixels) for created preview images.
